About me, Marina Ziff

I came to counselling, as I wanted to work with people at a level where real change, growth and healing could occur. My experience of therapy and training have provided me with a deep appreciation for human nature and proved the difference therapy can make to our lives, helping us to feel more supported and fulfilled.

In addition to a Diploma in Gestalt Counselling , I earned a Master’s in Health & Social Marketing. This additional training continues to enhance my attitude of, seeing people as inseparably linked with their social, cultural, political and ecological environments.

In the last decade or so I have worked within the voluntary sector services, NHS primary care, and community counselling services. I have experience of working with people affected by a wide range of difficulties.

I am fully insured and adhere to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Code of Ethics and Practice. Confidentiality, respect and compassion are essential to my way of working. I am committed to my personal development and continue to expand my professional skills through regular supervision and on-going training.

I have experience in the following areas, including (but not limited to):

• Belonging and disconnection
• Self-esteem and confidence
• Disordered eating, self and body image
• Blended families
• Trauma & PTSD
• Spiritual and existential concerns
• Self- actualisation and personal growth
